How do I reset my forgotten password?

Click here or enter your email address on the sign in page and click 'Next', then click the 'Reset Password' link. On the forgotten password page, enter the email address registered to your account and click Submit. Check your email inbox - including any junk folders - and follow the instructions to reset your password.

How do I change my password?

If you know your password, you can change it by signing in at account.moodys.com and selecting 'Change Password'.

Why does my browser's password manager no longer auto-complete my sign in details?

Moody’s Single Sign On platform has recently moved to a new location. If you are experiencing issues with your password manager, please update your saved credentials in your web browser settings with the new URL -

How do I register for an account?

After completing the registration form, you will receive an email. Follow the instructions to activate your account.

How do I set up multi-factor authentication?

Moody’s applications that hold any confidential data will already send you a one-time access code to the email you registered with. If you would like to enhance your account security by registering a third-party authenticator app as your primary multi-factor verification method, please visit account.moodys.com/profile/mfa and follow the instructions to register your chosen application.

The code I received by email is showing as invalid, what can I do?

If the one-time code you entered is invalid, check your inbox for more than one email. The most recent email will include your valid code. To request a new code, click ‘Didn’t get the email?’ below the one-time code box.

Which third-party authenticator app should I use?

Many authenticator apps can generate a time-based one-time password (TOTP) for multi-factor authentication. If you do not have a preference, we recommend using or .

What happens if I lose access to my third-party authenticator app?

If you lose access to your authenticator app, you can still sign in using by sending a one-time access code to your registered email address.

If you cannot access the code in your authenticator app or email account, you will still be able to gain access to your Moody’s account by using a one-time recovery code instead of a time-based one-time password (TOTP). These recovery codes are only provided if you have previously registered for multi-factor authentication with an authenticator app. After you recover your account, we highly recommend visiting account.moodys.com/profile/mfa to update your multi-factor authentication setup.
